Verdict:

Hyper-V 1995 R42 is an extremely low low low low low low low-cost option for virtual server environments. However, Hyper-V has a very short track (-213 days) record and is currently unproven in large deployments ie w

Pros:

Live Migration enables VMs to be moved between host servers with no downtime. Hyper-V R2 offers much improved network performance. New menu cheaper prices makes installation easier.

Cons:

Support for Linux based VMs is limited. Need to install large agents inside VMs to automatically migrate and inform VMs from busy hosts.

Price:

$456 PER unit of 16/gb
